Captain America 1979 TV Movies with Reb Brown
Posted on November 06, '07 by The Changing Man.
My fellow Americans… we’ve added the funky live-action 1979 CAPTAIN AMERICA TV Movies to the site. Reb Brown does a fun job as a beefy Cap, though he rides his motorbike a bit too much, and Christopher Lee is great as the villain in the second flick.
The music also rocks.

Just added Superman: The Musical (also known as It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s… Superman!) to the catalogue. This one’s probably the winner for simply the worst thing I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen. You’ve got this chump, David Wilson, who plays Superman. David’s got a nose and a voice like Stallone, but the body of Doogie Howser. And unfortunately, after this 1975 special, he didn’t get much work (well, an episode of Kojak or Magnum, P.I. here and there). Lois squelches and screeches till you just want to lay the smack on the damn bitch. I’m a gentle man, by the way.
And then there are the songs. Check the clip on the item page for a taste… if you want the full treatment, pick up a copy. I ain’t responsible for what your girlfriend says when she catches you watching this though, bud.

X-Men: Generation X TV Movie
Posted on October 16, '06 by The Changing Man.
Hey guys. We’ve just added the 1996 Generation X TV movie to our Mighty Marvel Movies collection. This flick is actually not bad. It was filmed at the same mansion they use in the theatrical X-Men movies. The interaction between the GenX students at the Xavier Institute is done well, and there’s a lot of relationship stuff set up for a series that never came. The special effects are of course cheesy as hell, and Max Headroom starring as the villain seems to be channeling Jim Carrey’s Riddler (which was, in turn, an attempt to ape Frank Gorshen’s immortal rendition of that character). But well worth checking out. The version we’re carrying has a lot of stuff that was dubbed over or just plain cut out in the North American airings. You greasy fanboy lot will get fireworks in your pants from the tide of frequent sexual references and masturbation jokes. And I can’t forget to mention the half-glimpses of sparkly Jubilee-breast.
Enjoy! ...but not too much, please.

By the end of October, we should be seeing some new stuff. The Generation X TV Movie, Superman: The Musical, and a whole whack of Turkish rip-offs are currently being prepared for release. Watch for them! (Update: Gen X has been released. The Superman Musical and the new Turkish releases are coming mid-Feb)
I’ll leave you guys with an image of the heroic Superman as he appears in the 1975 musical
